Documents Required

Getting married in Jamaica is absolutely easy and hassle-free.

There are just a few required documents needed from the bride and groom to be married in Jamaica. All applicable documents must be submitted 45 days before the wedding date to facilitate the marriage license application and processing. An additional processing fee will apply if documents are submitted in less than 45 days.

Documents must be copied in full colour and must be notarised, scanned, and submitted.

All applicable copied pages  MUST BE NOTARIZED.

  • Birth Certificates of Bride & Groom
  • Government-issued photo ID
  • Divorce Decree, if applicable
  • Death Certificate in the case of widow/widower
  • Translation of documents to English if in a different language 
  • Adoption Certificate, if applicable
  • Name Change Certificate, if applicable
