The
Bride
Marva
currently resides in Paterson, New Jersey and has lived there
for 16 years; she is
originally from Westmoreland Jamaica. Marva
is currently an analyst for ACS, a Xerox company. Traveling,
shopping
and friends are just a few of Marva’s
favorite things
The
Groom
Corroll (Clinton) Grant resides in Kingston, Jamaica and is
currently working as mason/carpenter. Being good with his hands
naturally he spends his free time fixing things around his home.
He also enjoys spending time with his friends and playing
dominoes
Our
Story- How
we met
– We met in Jamaica about 4 years ago, but it was only about a
year ago that we really began to get to know each other. The
first time we met was during my annual visit to Jamaica to visit
family at my grandmother’s birthday celebration. My initial
reaction was to brush him off but he was persistent. Corroll
told my brother Wayne that he was interested in getting to know
me better. We have been in contact since then and the rest is
history
The
Engagement-We
were taking a stroll along the beach on a Caribbean summer
night; we were looking at the stars and the moonlight glistening
off the oceans wave. That’s when he got on one knee and proposed
to me. I immediately said yes
The
Wedding Ceremony & Reception-
The
Ceremony will take place in beautiful Jamaica on a Private
Beach in Montego Bay, all details will be organized by Almarie
of Tropical Weddings Jamaica. The wedding theme/colors will be
white and sky blue. The bride will be wearing a Mori Lee gown in
Ivory chiffon encrusted with crystals and stones.
The groom will
be dressed in a off-white suit with blue vest. The ceremony will
take place on the beach by the ocean front. Flowers will include
white roses, and blue orchids. We plan on making the ceremony a
very romantic and elegant affair that everyone will enjoy.
The
Reception will take place at the same venue. The menu will
include steamed fish with okra and vegetable, curried mutton,
jerked pork, etc. We would like to inform all guests to come
prepared for a good time at the reception. Unlike the ceremony,
the DJ will have the dance floor pumping and dancing will be
mandatory.
